Using The Right Article

While I was searching techniques on how to finish Pokemon Shiny Gold , I noticed an error on the use of the right article. The indefinite article a is used for singular noun beginning with a consonant: a boy, a cat. Also, it is used to singular nouns with a consonant sound: a university, a unicycle. while the indefinite article an is used to singular nouns beginning with a vowel:  an apple, an anecdote. It is also used with nouns starting with silent "h": an hour.

  1. This is a common mistake that should have been corrected from the first time people are taught English. It is very easy to do and I do hope that all of us would not commit such mistakes like this.

  2. It is an easy-to-spot mistake but rampant in the internet articles. I guess people in nature are not so careful after all! So as UP students, one of our responsibilities is to avoid that kind of mistake.

  4. "Exit the secret place and then exit the park at the eastern exit."
This sentence is grammatically correct, but it is awkward to hear. The word "exit" was used as a verb and as a noun; moreover, this was the reason I characterized this sentence as awkward. The verb "exit" may be replaced by the word "leave."
