A writer use different emotion or mood when writing a sentence which means it use verb in order to convey the mood that he or she want to send to the readers. Verbs have four moods: indicative, imperative, subjunctive and infinitive. These moods tell us in what manner a verb or a verb phrase was expressed. Verb mood intensifies the sense and message of a sentence because if the reader gets what the "mood" of the sentence is, then he or she will be able to grasp the meaning easily and faster.

Since I am a psychology student, my first impression on this was being delighted with the fact that verbs have moods as well. ;)

ReplyDeleteOn an unrelated note, I think using "in order to" is kind of awkward since you could almost always replace it with "to". Anyway, that's just my opinion. Great post.
